The Office of the Vice President for Research (OVPR) at the University of Iowa, has a Senior Financial Analyst position available.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Research Administration and Finance team to manage billing activities in our three core facility research centers effectively and efficiently and support other finance and accounting processes within the Research organization.
May provide additional support for the unit as needed.
Work Modality: Hybrid within Iowa.
This position is eligible for hybrid work within Iowa and will require a work arrangement form to be completed upon the start of your employment.
Per policy, work arrangements will be reviewed annually, and must comply with the remote work program and related policies and employee travel policy when working at a remote location.

Qualifications: Education or Equivalency Required A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business or related field or an equivalent combination of education and typically 3 years of experience is required.
Required Qualifications Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to exercise discretion in matters of confidential and sensitive nature.
Experience gathering and organizing data from a variety of systems/sources to perform a task.
Demonstrate careful attention to detail and accuracy, strong organizational and analytical skills, ability to handle multiple tasks quickly and effectively, proactively establish priorities, and meet non-negotiable deadlines.
Highly Desirable Qualifications Experience with financial systems and accounting entries.
Cost accounting or rate setting experience.
Billing experience.
Desirable Qualifications Reasonable knowledge of academic institutional policies, rules, and regulations.
Experience in a lab/service center.
2-3 years recent and relevant experience with applicable policies and regulations related to research budgets and billing.
