Starting Pay: $16/hour (After a 2-month trial period, $18/hour)
Job Summary:
Bunkers Bar and Grill, located at the beautiful Brown Deer Golf Club in Coralville, Iowa, is seeking a motivated and experienced Line/Prep Cook to join our kitchen staff.
This position offers both full-time and part-time opportunities with competitive pay.
Our ideal candidate is passionate about creating delicious, high-quality dishes while maintaining a clean, efficient, and safe kitchen environment.
Responsibilities:
* Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and guidelines
* Assist in the preparation and execution of daily specials
* Maintain proper food handling, safety, and sanitation standards
* Ensure timely and efficient completion of assigned tasks
* Stock and maintain inventory levels as needed
* Assist in the cleaning and maintenance of kitchen equipment and workspaces
* Work effectively as part of a team to ensure a positive guest experience
* Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
* Perform additional duties as assigned by management
* Help with the banquet space set up and clean up
Requirements:
* High school diploma or equivalent
* Previous experience in a professional kitchen environment preferred
* Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen equipment
* Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
* Must have a flexible schedule, including availability on weekends and holidays
