Kitchen Associate

*Neighborhood Centers of Johnson County * *Job Description* *Job Title: *_Kitchen Associate_ *Department: *_All Sites_ *SUMMARY: *Assist in the preparation and clean-up of breakfast, lunch and snack for all NCJC programs.
This position purchases supplies and food as needed and delivers to off sites.
Maintain Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) standards and guidelines.
*ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES *include the following.
Other duties may be assigned.
Meal Preparation and Cleaning 1.
Assist with organization and sanitation of kitchen facilities and equipment 2.
Assist with meal preparation 3.
Disposing of garbage and recycling 4.
Cleaning the food preparation equipment, floors and other kitchen tools or areas Delivery and Purchasing 1.
Responsible for delivering meals and snacks to off sites 2.
Purchase food and supplies as needed 3.
Pick up and store food deliveries To maintain a commitment to professionalism 1.
Promote the Neighborhood Center's philosophy and educational objectives.
*QUALIFICATIONS* Experience in meal preparation and/or in CACFP standards preferred, but not necessary.
Ability to solve practical problems.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Must regularly move and lift 10-20 pounds, and occasionally move and lift 50 pounds.
Must have valid driver's license.
*COMPENSATION* $14 -$16/hour @20 hours per week Job Type: Part-time Pay: $14.
