The University of Iowa Community Clinics (UICC) is seeking a patient centered *50 - 100% (20 - 40 hours a week) Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) *to work in our *UICC North Dodge Neurology Clinic.

The LPN's within the Neurology Clinic is responsible for assessing a wide variety of adult neurology patients and ensuring patient care standards are met.
This position is part of a dynamic environment, rich with opportunities for learning and growth.
We utilize a multidisciplinary approach to patient care that encourages teamwork between multiple disciplinary teams to provide the most comprehensive care to our patients.
Duties to include:
* Support Neurology Clinic patients.
* Provides nursing care under the supervision of a registered professional nurse.
* Participates in the development of nursing care plans and in the implementation of therapeutic program for patients.
* In less complex situations, may assume responsibility for directing and supervising assigned nursing personnel.
In more complex situations, performs as an assistant to the registered professional nurse.
* Facilitate the smooth flow of patients through the clinic through interaction with patients, families, and staff
* Driver's License and ability to meet UI Fleet Safety Standards.

Percent of Time: 50% to 100%
Schedule: Variable hours between 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM based on clinic needs, no holiday and no weekends and no on-call time.
Shifts may be 8 or 10 hours.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements
* Licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with the Iowa Board of Nursing, or eligible for temporary work permit.
Responsible to take the required continuing education hours to maintain a valid LPN certification.
* Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification
Special Qualifications
* Driver's License and ability to meet UI Fleet Safety Standards.
Desirable Qualifications
* Previous neurology clinic experience
* Previous EPIC experience
* Strong communication skills
* Previous experience successfully working autonomously
