Iowa Care Community is expanding and adding a new dependable Clinical Administrative Assistant to be a part of our office team.

This position provides administrative support to the Clinical Manager and team through scheduling, supply management and administrative support.

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:30am - 4:30 pm
Full Time: Hourly; Non-exempt
General Description: Completes general clinical administrative tasks to ensure clinical care is safe, compliant, effective, and high-quality.
Create and communicate weekly and monthly hospice nurse and after-hours schedules.
Complete assigned clinical, compliance, and quality audits and data entry timely and accurately.
Assist clinical and quality managers with the implementation and monitoring of infection control processes.
Facilitate efficient and effective patient supply delivery through coordination and communication with the Supply Delivery Associate.
Assist Clinical Managers and Team Coordinators with clinical administrative tasks and phone calls that do not require a nurse.
Ensure our care is safe and compliant by ensuring assigned clinical documents are received back signed timely, stored per agency policy, and receipt is communicated with the team.
Facilitate effective patient medical record receipt, storage, and delivery while maintaining patient privacy and ensuring our staff and care partners have timely access to medical records.
Foster trust and understanding through thoughtful interactions that include tactful language choices, adaptive communication styles and adjusting speaking voice in all professional interactions with staff, care partners and patient/family members

Document all care provided on the patient’s clinical record in accordance with Iowa City Hospice’s documentation requirements
Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:
High school graduate with Certified Nurse’s Aide or Certified Medical Aide desired
Administrative experience, healthcare experience desired
Computer literacy; Microsoft Office products and able to learn software applications
Driver License and access to a car with appropriate auto insurance

New employees will be required to take a 2-step TB test or to provide documentation of a recent negitive TB Test result.
