The University of Iowa Community Clinics (UICC) is seeking a patient centered 50 - 100% (20 - 40 hours a week) Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to work in our UICC QuickCare (Walk-in) Clinics.
Our licensed practical nurses are responsible to help a wide variety of patients from newborn to geriatric and ensures patient care standards are met and provides access to additional care options.
This position is part of a dynamic and fast paced environment, rich with opportunities for learning and growth.
We utilize a multidisciplinary approach to patient care that encourages team work between multiple disciplinary team to provide the most comprehensive care to our patients.
Standard shifts will be primarily 10 - 12 hour shifts could vary based on clinic need.

Participates in the development of nursing care plans and in the implementation of therapeutic program for patients.
In less complex situations, may assume responsibility for directing and supervising assigned nursing personnel.
In more complex situations, performs as an assistant to the registered professional nurse.
Driver's License and ability to meet UI Fleet Safety Standards.

26 (based on years of experience) MINIMUM ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: Licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with the Iowa Board of Nursing, or eligible for temporary work permit.
Responsible to take the required continuing education hours to maintain a valid LPN certification.
Basic Cardiac Life Support provider.
