The Radiology Clinic Services Coordinator will provide leadership/supervision for the Radiology frontline support staff.
This position focuses on resolving frontline service issues, identifying/resolving workflow issues for the Radiologists and finding efficiencies in current workflows.
This position will elevate the processes and practices in the department.
This position will complete special projects and implement pilot programs as directed by the Clinic Services Manager.
The Clinic Services Coordinator will assure the compliance of policies, guidelines, and expectations for the frontline support staff.
The Clinical Services Coordinator will monitor and assign/reassign daily work for staff based on department needs.
Upholds the Radiology Departments best practices, quality, and professional standards and policies.
Serves as a mentor, coach, role model and service excellence ambassador for staff, co-workers, patients, and visitors.
In addition to providing leadership in Radiology, this position will assist in training new Radiologists/Resident and assist in scheduling/reception on an as needed basis, while maintaining the department benchmarks and quality expectations.
Provide high level customer service and ensure patients have an excellent experience by following the “Standards of Excellence” guidelines and upholds best practices set forth by the Department of Radiology and UIHC.
Complete other duties as assigned.
Duties Include:
· Provide frontline clinic operation support.
· Directly supervise all work of the Reading Room Coordinators and student staff.
Responsible for hiring, onboarding, training, scheduling and performance appraisals.
· Assist in training of the Radiologist and Residents on using the Radiology PACS, dictation system, and other computer systems.
· Troubleshoot and answer questions related to the functionality and use of a variety of computer systems used in Radiology.
· Assist in Radiology reception and scheduling
· Make recommendations for improvements to processes and quality of provided services to achieve patient/customer satisfaction.
· Collaborate with peers and co-workers to enhance the delivery of care in Radiology.
· May perform other duties as assigned.

Education Required
Completion of a Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
Experience Requirements
3-5 years’ experience in healthcare administration.
Experience directing the work of employees in a leadership role.
Demonstrated ability to handle complex situations with minimal supervision.
Effective communication skills (written and verbal) and the ability to maintain professionalism while handling difficult situations.
Established ability to partner with stakeholders to make significant technical and operational business changes.
Strong attention to detail and proven ability to gather and analyze data.
Proficiency in Microsoft applications including TEAMS, OneNote, Excel and Word.
Desirable Qualifications
Knowledge of patient scheduling and frontline processes.
Knowledge of Radiology Image Management workflows
Ability to facilitate positive outcomes by collaborating and working in a team environment.
Experience identifying opportunities for improvement, making recommendations and suggestions.
Self-motivated to direct and demonstrate excellent judgement in prioritizing multiple projects and assignments.
EPIC Experience.
Knowledge of University of Iowa policies, procedures and regulations.
