Position Description:
The University of Iowa Division of Cardiovascular Medicine in the Department of Internal Medicine is recruiting a full-time electrophysiologist at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor on the tenure or clinical (non-tenure) track, depending on qualifications.
This position is not eligible for University sponsorship for employment authorization.
The candidate will work at UIHC, IRL and outreach locations and may have some clinical effort at the Iowa City VA Medical Center.
The candidate will have outpatient clinic and inpatient consult duties, perform procedures in the EP labs, and cover a share of night and weekend EP on-call responsibilities.
Education Requirement:
Candidates must have an M.
D.
degree or equivalent.
Required Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have hands on experience in electrophysiology and evidence of scholarly work.
Certifications:
Board certification or board eligibility in cardiovascular diseases and clinical cardiac electrophysiology are required.
Desirable Qualifications:
Applicants with evidence of a strong commitment to clinical research and teaching as well as records of educational involvement and teaching are preferred.
