Surgery Scheduler

* Communicate information between the patient, surgical facility, and providers.
* Coordinate equipment and authorizations with vendors when applicable.
* Must be efficient and accurate with completing and faxing procedure/testing paperwork.
* Confirm surgery schedules and notifies patients of arrival times.
* Responsible for maintaining physician’s Outlook calendar to be current and up to date with their surgery schedule.
* Responsible for getting patient consent for surgery to the correct surgical facility.
* Schedule outpatient appointments that apply to surgery as requested by the physician(s).
* Obtain pre-authorization for surgery from insurance companies.
* Instruct patients on surgery and outpatient testing/appointments.
* Address patient concerns on surgery and pre-surgical appointments.
*Job Requirements:* * High School diploma * Previous experience in a medical office environment a plus * Previous experience with an EMR and Practice Management System a plus Candidate must be able to work well in a professional team environment, have excellent communication skills and the ability to multi-task efficiently.
Job Type: Full-time Pay: $17.
