House Coordinator
Join our team at Ronald McDonald House Charities of Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois! We are seeking an energetic, hardworking, and compassionate individual to help us in supporting families with sick children as they seek medical care.
The House Coordinator role is an important part of our leadership team with oversight of safety and operations on the weekends.
This is a part-time position located at the Iowa City Ronald McDonald House.
Schedule:
* Every Saturdays and Sundays from 3pm-9pm
* Holidays (minimum requirement is 1 holiday per year)
* Occasional weekday shift opportunities

Duties:
* First line weekend responsibility for safety, cleanliness and operations.
* Welcome, orient, and assist families and visitors.
* Greet and guide volunteers on duty.
* Receive and steward drop off donations.
* Answer phones, provide information and register guests.
* Monitor facility to ensure safety.
* Prepare guest rooms on occasion, including general cleaning and laundry.
* Provide input regarding part-time staff performance.
* Conduct weekly routine guest room checks.
Additional Responsibilities
* Participate in monthly full-time and part-time staff meetings.
* Perform other duties related to RMHC-EIWI as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
* Associate’s degree plus 2 years of experience in a related field required.
* Friendly, caring, and clear communication, both verbal and written.
* Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to work in a flexible, team-oriented environment.
* Self-directed and able to successfully complete projects assigned with a minimum of supervision.
* Ability to lead and direct small teams to accomplish tasks.
* Ability to walk, sit, use hands, climb steps and occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
* Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
