Duties:
Mon-Fri 0930-1800 OR experience preferred.

Job Requirement: Iowa Permit to Practice - Required Certificate by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists within two months of employment is necessary.
Assists physicians with imaging procedures.
Interview patients and records medical history relative to radiologic procedures.

Maintains equipment and work area and report faulty equipment.
Operates radiographic imaging equipment in the department; practices radiation safety and protection.
Identifies, accesses, and prepares medication as prescribed by a licensed practioner.
Prepares and assists with or administers materials, including opaque media, contrast media and barium, while adhering to patient safety goals.
Prepares patients for radiographs and determines technical factors to be used for obtaining radiographic images and procedures, and similar activities.
Adjusts technical factors and procedures according to the age and condition of the patient.
Provides for the care and protection of patients, assuming care for their emotional, psychological and physical needs while adhering to the Joint Commission Patient Safety Goals.
Assists in moving patient from transportation mode to x-ray table.
Provides necessary clerical support, such as completing requisitions, filing etc.
