Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care in the operating room setting
- Assist surgeons and other healthcare professionals during surgical procedures
- Prepare operating rooms with necessary equipment and supplies
- Monitor patients' vital signs and anesthesia during surgery
- Ensure a sterile environment is maintained throughout the surgical process
- Administer medications and anesthesia as directed by the surgeon or anesthesiologist
- Document patient information, surgical procedures, and outcomes accurately
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an Operating Room setting
- Proficient in using medical equipment and instruments specific to the operating room
- Familiarity with surgical procedures across various specialties, including orthopedics, general surgery, neurosurgery, etc.
- Knowledge of sterile techniques and infection control practices
- Ability to assess patients' conditions and respond quickly in emergency situations
- Experience with electronic health record systems (Epic preferred)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members
