is hiring for an Agronomy Sales Representative at both our Hills and Fairfax, Iowa facilities.

About the Job:
The agronomy sales representative works with current and prospective growers.
You will prescribe the proper use of crop protection products, nutrients, precision platforms, seed and other services offered.
In this role, you have the capacity and sales acumen to manage and grow a book of business.
Responsibilities:
Create and recommend specific agronomy programs to targeted accounts with the goal of increasing business.
Spend most of the time in the market area working with growers to earn business.
Utilize seed, precision ag technology, finance, and other marketing tools to grow market share.
Understand business functions and work with fellow team members to achieve company goals.
Coordinate with the agronomy manager, custom applicators and customers regarding product delivery and application to maximize efficiency.
Establish and maintain effective customer service through education and promotion of product line.
Ensure that federal and state chemical and fertilizer regulations are observed / adhered to.
Work with customers and team members in a courteous and professional manner.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree, Certified Crop Advisor (CCA) credentials or the ability to obtain a CCA.
Mathematical aptitude to calculate crop nutrient and crop protection recommendations.
1-3 years additional experience in either: agronomy/seed, scouting/agronomy internships, fertilizer/chemical/seed plant work, or an agricultural background.
Valid Class A CDL with Tanker and HazMat endorsements.
Commercial Pesticide Applicators license.
Must be willing and able to work extended hours in-season.
Travel to other states may be required.
